Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are reportedly ahead in the race to sign PSV Eindhoven attacker Memphis Depay.
According to The Express, both clubs have watched the Dutch international in action and Spurs may look to resurrect their bid for the 20-year-old, having missed out on the player during the summer.
It is thought that the Lilywhites are looking to bring in Depay as a replacement for out-of-favour winger Aaron Lennon.
Meanwhile, United boss Louis van Gaal sees Depay as someone who can add speed to his current playing squad and wants him to replace Belgian youngster Adnan Januzaj.
Januzaj could be allowed to leave the Red Devils on loan in January after failing to impress in United's FA Cup draw at Cambridge United.
