Six players to leave Manchester United before transfer deadline?

Manchester United could allow six players to leave the club on loan before the EFL transfer window closes, according to a report.

Manchester United could reportedly allow six players to leave the club on loan before the EFL transfer window closes at the end of the week.

The Red Devils were active on transfer deadline day, with Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and Facundo Pellistri all arriving at Old Trafford, while Amad Diallo will officially make the move in January.

According to The Mirror, United will look to trim their squad before the domestic window closes on Friday, and five youngsters could be on their way out of the club for loan spells.

The report claims that 18-year-old Teden Mengi, who is currently training with the first team, could make a loan move to a EFL club, while right-back Ethan Laird might also be allowed to depart.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah has worked his way back into United's first-team plans, but the Dutchman is also allegedly being considered for a short-term exit.

Meanwhile, Di'Shon Bernard and Dylan Levitt are said to be in demand with a number of clubs in the lower divisions thought to be interested in loaning the pair, either until January or for the remainder of the season.

Experienced goalkeeper Lee Grant could also allegedly depart, with the Englishman dropping further down the pecking order at Old Trafford following Dean Henderson's return over the summer.
