Prospective new Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri reportedly tells Roman Abramovich that he will only take over at the club if they keep hold of Eden Hazard and Willian.

Maurizio Sarri has reportedly told Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich that he will only take charge of the team if they keep hold of Eden Hazard and Willian.

Sarri remains the frontrunner to take over at Chelsea next season despite current boss Antonio Conte beginning pre-season training with the club as the lengthy negotiations over replacing him continue to drag on.

The ongoing uncertainty surrounding the managerial situation at Stamford Bridge has also led to speculation regarding some of the club's key players with less than a month to go of the summer transfer window.

Hazard has been touted as a possible replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid, while Willian has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United which would see him reunite with former boss Jose Mourinho.

However, Mundo Deportivo reports that Sarri has told the club that the pair are 'untouchable' and has insisted that he will not take over as manager if either is sold.

Sarri is still contracted to Italian club Napoli, although they have already confirmed the appointment of former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti.
