Paris Saint-Germain reportedly place Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo on a shortlist of three players who could replace Kylian Mbappe.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly identified Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe.

While PSG are making every effort to extend Mbappe's stay at Parc des Princes past the end of the season, it appears increasingly likely that the Frenchman will leave upon the expiration of his contract.

According to the Evening Standard, the French giants may be prepared to bring in Ronaldo if Mbappe departs the club.

Speculation persists that the Portuguese superstar is not overly happy with life at Old Trafford with United unable to make any kind of challenge for the Premier League title.

Although the 36-year-old has a contract until 2023, United are unlikely to stand in his way if he wishes to join a different club in a foreign league.

The report adds that PSG are also monitoring the respective situations involving Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski and Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland.
