Bryan Robson: 'Manchester United don't need major squad rebuild'

Bryan Robson does not believe that Manchester United need a major squad overhaul this summer.

Former Manchester United star Bryan Robson believes that the club need just a few new additions as opposed to a complete overhaul this summer.

Widespread reports have claimed that new manager Louis van Gaal will have more than £100m to spend on players.

While some have suggested that major changes need to be made to the side that fell to seventh in the Premier League table last season, Robson thinks that there is still plenty of talent within the squad.

"Everyone keeps saying it needs to be a major rebuild – I just don't see it like that," Robson told the Manchester Evening News. "I think we have some great players within the squad. We need three of four top-class players."

Southampton left-back Luke Shaw, Germany internationals Bastian Schweinsteiger and Mats Hummels and Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman have all been linked with moves to Old Trafford.
