Report: West Bromwich Albion target Jonny Evans

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly keen to sign Jonny Evans from Manchester United.

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly looking to sign Manchester United defender Jonny Evans.

The Northern Ireland international made just 17 appearances last season due to injuries, suspensions and competition for the centre-back spots from the likes of Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo.

United boss Louis van Gaal is said to be looking to bring in a new defender this summer, which has led to speculation that the 27-year-old will be allowed to leave Old Trafford.

According to the Daily Mail, West Brom head coach Tony Pulis believes that he can revive Evans's game and wants him to be part of his new-look side at The Hawthorns.

It is thought that Evans has received offers from several Premier League sides but West Brom are especially keen to sign him.

Evans has made 131 Premier League appearances for United.
