Report: Tottenham Hotspur tell Manchester United Gareth Bale is not for sale

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly tell Manchester United that Gareth Bale will not be sold for any price.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly told Manchester United that Gareth Bale is not for sale at any price.

Reports emerged yesterday that United are readying a £60m bid for the Welshman, but any offer would be unwelcome.

According to The Mirror, even a world-record £85m fee would not be enough to tempt Spurs into selling their prized asset.

United are confident that they can sign Bale, who scored 21 goals last season, but Spurs' tough stance already appears to have warned off Real Madrid.

The London club, meanwhile, believe that Welshman is settled and will remain at White Hart Lane for at least one more season.
