Manchester United boss David Moyes wants to keep wantaway striker Wayne Rooney at the Red Devils next season.

New Manchester United boss David Moyes reportedly wants Wayne Rooney to stay at Old Trafford next season.

The England international has been linked with a move away from the Red Devils this summer, with Chelsea and Arsenal as reported suitors.

However, Moyes is determined to hang on to the 27-year-old and will attempt to persuade the striker to remain at the club, when the pair meet ahead of pre-season training, reports The Mirror.

Rooney scored 16 goals for United last season, as they won the Premier League for the 13th time.
