A report claims that Chelsea face competition from Manchester United in the race to sign Jadon Sancho from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester United are reportedly ready to go head-to-head with Premier League rivals Chelsea for the signing of Borussia Dortmund ace Jadon Sancho.

The England international has been in impressive form for Dortmund once again this term, directly contributing to 24 goals in 18 Bundesliga appearances.

Chelsea are rumoured to have lined up a nine-figure deal for the 19-year-old in the January window, but a move did not materialise.

However, the Evening Standard suggests that the Blues now face increased competition for the teenage attacker as United are also weighing up a huge bid.

The Red Devils signed Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon in a deal totalling £68m earlier this week, but the report indicates that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been given the go ahead to chase Sancho.

Sancho turned down a new contract with Manchester City to join Dortmund in the summer of 2017.
