Report: James Rodriguez favours Manchester United move

A report claims that Manchester United are James Rodriguez's preferred choice if he leaves Real Madrid in the January transfer window.

James Rodriguez will push for a move to Manchester United if he leaves Real Madrid in January, according to a report.

The Colombian international scored 17 times in 46 appearances during his first season at Real Madrid, but struggled for first-team action last term and has also started the new campaign out of favour under Zinedine Zidane.

James stayed at the Bernabeu in the summer despite a host of speculation, but according to respected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague, Zidane wants the attacking midfielder to leave.

Arsenal and Juventus have both been linked with moves for the 25-year-old, but The Express reports that James would favour a move to Man United if Real Madrid decide to cash in when the winter transfer window opens.

Real Madrid signed James from AS Monaco off the back of an impressive 2014 World Cup.
