Report: Cardiff City to loan Fabio da Silva

Cardiff City reportedly prepare a loan move for Manchester United's Fabio da Silva.

Manchester United defender Fabio da Silva is reportedly a loan target for Cardiff City.

The left-back is out of favour with the champions, and the Bluebirds are confident of signing the Brazilian on a short-term deal until the end of the season, according to The Mirror.

Fabio spent last season on loan at Queens Park Rangers, and is currently behind Patrice Evra and Alexander Buttner in the pecking order at Old Trafford.

The full-back's agent recently claimed that it was "very likely" that Fabio would be leaving United permanently this summer.
