Real Madrid 'to announce Paul Pogba next week'

Real Madrid are confident of announcing Manchester United's Paul Pogba as a new signing next week, according to a report.

Real Madrid are reportedly confident that they will be able to announce Paul Pogba as a new signing next week.

Pogba recently suggested that he wanted to leave Manchester United in this summer's transfer window for "a new challenge".

Madrid have been strongly linked with a move for the France international, although it has also been widely reported that Juventus want to bring the midfielder back to Turin.

According to OK Diario, Pogba is determined to secure a move to the Bernabeu ahead of the 2019-20 campaign and Los Blancos are confident of announcing the deal before the end of next week.

The 26-year-old scored 16 times and registered 11 assists in 47 appearances for United last term.

The 2018 World Cup winner struggled for consistency during the 2018-19 campaign, however, and has reportedly made a personal plea to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to let him leave Old Trafford this summer.

Madrid are said to be keen to include Gareth Bale in their move for the United midfielder.
