Real Madrid have reportedly made an improved contract offer to Lucas Vazquez as they attempt to sign the Spaniard to a new deal.
The 29-year-old will miss the remainder of the 2020-21 campaign with a knee injury, but he has been an important player for the club this term, contributing two goals and eight assists in 34 appearances.
Vazquez's current deal is due to expire at the end of June, and a number of clubs, including Bayern Munich and Manchester United, have been credited with an interest in his services.
However, according to Marca, Madrid are determined to renew the attacker's contract and have now made him an improved offer to the one previously put on the table.
The report claims that Los Blancos are determined to reward Vazquez's commitment and are hopeful that an agreement can be reached this month.
The Spaniard has scored 26 goals and registered 54 assists in 240 appearances for Los Blancos.
