Real Madrid are reportedly becoming 'increasingly confident' of completing a deal for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba before this summer's transfer window closes for business.
Pogba has been strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford ahead of the 2019-20 campaign, with the Frenchman and his agent Mino Raiola both keen on a summer departure.
The midfielder has been involved in all four of United's pre-season matches this summer, though, and it has been reported that the Red Devils will not drop their £170m asking price.
However, according to ESPN FC, Madrid still believe that they can agree a deal with the 20-time English champions, although head coach Zinedine Zidane must convince club president Florentino Perez to sanction another big-money move.
Zidane recently claimed that "something could happen" when questioned on a potential swoop for the France international ahead of the new season.
The 26-year-old, who scored 16 times and registered 11 assists in 47 appearances for his English club during the 2018-19 campaign, has a contract at Old Trafford until June 2021.
