Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick says that the recent issue with Anthony Martial "is now resolved".

Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick has insisted that the recent issue with Anthony Martial "is now resolved", with the Frenchman back in the squad for Wednesday's clash with Brentford.

Rangnick said that Martial refused to be involved in Saturday's Premier League clash with Aston Villa, but the forward denied the claim on Sunday morning.

The 26-year-old is still looking to leave Old Trafford this month, with Barcelona, Sevilla and Juventus all believed to be in the running for his signature.

However, Rangnick has said that the recent problem with the France international has been "resolved", and he could be involved in Wednesday's Premier League game with Brentford, having made the trip to London.

"I had a personal conversation with him on Sunday about what happened and how I saw the whole situation and the matter is now resolved," Rangnick told reporters.

Martial, who has a contract with the Red Devils until June 2024, has only scored once in 10 appearances at club level during the 2021-22 campaign.
