Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly planning to ruin Manchester United's pursuit of Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman by lodging their own offer in January.
The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with the Red Devils, who are believed to be preparing a £25m bid for the player in the winter transfer window.
Manager Louis van Gaal is said to be keen on adding the Dutchman to his team at Old Trafford, but decided against moving for the midfielder in the summer as he continues to recover from a knee injury.
However, according to The Express, reports in France have claimed that PSG are willing to offer youngster Adrien Rabiot plus cash in order to convince Roma to sell Strootman to the Ligue 1 giants.
Roma boss Rudi Garcia is believed to be an admirer of Rabiot, whose contract at Parc des Princes expires at the end of this season.
