Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Atletico Madrid full-back Kieran Trippier in the January transfer market.
The Magpies have been linked with numerous players since the takeover took place, with the England international becoming the latest name.
According to Guillem Balague, Newcastle United are looking at Trippier, who had been linked with a return to the Premier League in the summer with Manchester United.
"I hear from Atletico Madrid that Newcastle are really interested in getting Trippier and they have started negotiations with his people. I am not sure whether they will get him or not," Balague claimed.
The former Tottenham Hotspur defender has been in La Liga since 2019, having put together over 60 appearances for Atletico Madrid during his time with the club.
