Ajax reportedly turn down a second offer of £76m from Manchester United for Antony after previously having an initial bid of £68m rejected.

Manchester United have reportedly had a £76m bid for Antony rejected by Ajax.

Although United have signed Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro this summer, they are still looking to strengthen in the final third, with Antony identified as one of their main targets.

The Brazilian is keen to move to the Premier League club after refusing to train with Ajax as he looks to push through a transfer.

United previously had a £68m offer rejected by the Dutch champions, but have since returned with a £76m bid, which according to the Daily Mail has also been turned down.

The report indicates that Ajax are struggling to find a replacement for Antony, with Justin Kluivert and Anwar El Ghazi linked with the Eredivisie club, while a loan return for Hakim Ziyech appears to be unlikely as Chelsea would prefer to sell the Moroccan.

Antony is believed to have already agreed a five-year deal with United, and although Ajax have rejected two offers, there is a belief that a bid in the region of £84m could be accepted.
