Manchester United reportedly saw a €140m (£125m) bid for England attacker Jadon Sancho rejected by Borussia Dortmund earlier this year.
The 20-year-old continues to be linked with a move to Old Trafford, and it has been claimed that the Red Devils are confident of securing his signature this summer despite the coronavirus outbreak.
According to AS, United had attempted to wrap up a deal for the former Manchester City youngster in February by launching an offer worth €140m (£125m).
However, the report claims that Dortmund turned down the bid as they felt that they would be able to convince the 20-time English champions to pay a higher fee during this summer's transfer window.
The financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic is expected to see big-money deals placed on hold, although Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side could allegedly attempt to agree a swap deal for the attacker.
Sancho, who has also been linked with Liverpool and Chelsea, has scored 20 times and registered 20 assists in 39 appearances for BVB during the 2019-20 campaign.
Real Madrid are also reportedly keeping a close eye on developments.
