Manchester United 'to meet Koke's Atletico Madrid £48m release clause'

Manchester United will reportedly activate the £48m release clause in Koke's Atletico Madrid contract.

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to meet a £48m release clause in Koke's contract in a bid to lure the Atletico Madrid star to Old Trafford.

The 22-year-old, who clinched the title in La Liga with the Spanish side last season, was linked with the Red Devils last summer during David Moyes's time at United.

According to El Confidencial, the former Premier League champions will activate Koke's release clause in the next few days.

Reports have claimed that United, who will be under the guidance of new manager Louis van Gaal next season, have also offered Koke £3m per season.
