Manchester United announce that academy players Jake Barratt and Harry Spratt have been allowed to join Huddersfield Town.

Jake Barratt and Harry Spratt have left Manchester United in order to sign deals with Huddersfield Town.

Both players have featured for the Under-18s during their time in the North-West, but United have made the decision to allow the pair to make the switch to the Terriers.

Barratt made six appearances for the academy side during the current campaign, but the centre-back has opted to link up with Huddersfield after initially having a trial at Burnley.

Spratt has endured a period on the sidelines through injury, but the full-back will now look to continue his career at the John Smith's Stadium.

The duo have penned contracts which will run until the end of next season.
