Manchester United are reportedly in talks with Bruno Fernandes over a new deal at Old Trafford.
The 26-year-old has been a vital player for the Red Devils since arriving from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020, scoring 40 goals and registering 25 assists in 80 appearances in all competitions.
Last term, the Portugal international scored 28 times and registered 17 assists in 58 outings at club level, and he still has four years left to run on his contract at Old Trafford.
However, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 20-time English champions are currently in discussions with Fernandes and his agent over a new deal.
Romano claims that the Portuguese is expected to be offered a higher weekly wage to reflect his importance to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
Man United are believed to be keen to bring Fernandes's pay packet in line with the top earners at the club, as Jadon Sancho is set to sign a lucrative long-term deal in the coming days.
