Manchester United sign young American defender Matthew Olosunde

Eighteen-year-old American defender Matthew Olosunde finalises his move to Manchester United.

Manchester United have secured the services of teenage defender Matthew Olosunde.

A deal was struck to take the 18-year-old to Old Trafford in late January, but the move has not been announced until now because of the need for international clearance.

The American, who was on the books of the New York Red Bulls, is expected to spend the rest of the campaign with United's Under-18s side.

Indeed, he started the recent Under-18 Premier League encounter defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.
