Manchester United are reportedly 'resigned' to keeping Alexis Sanchez at the club this summer.
The 30-year-old only scored one Premier League goal for the Red Devils during the 2018-19 campaign and has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford in recent months.
Sanchez is now back with the United squad following his involvement in the Copa America but did not participate in any of their pre-season matches.
According to the Manchester Evening News, United had been willing to sell the Chile international during this summer's transfer window, which is still open for the majority of European clubs.
However, the report claims that Sanchez is likely to remain with the Red Devils for the 2019-20 season.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said that he expected Sanchez "to be able to score some goals" for the club this term.
United will open their Premier League season against Chelsea on Sunday but Sanchez's lack of a pre-season is expected to make him unavailable for selection.
