Manchester United 'poised to sign 14-year-old wonderkid'

Manchester United reportedly lead Liverpool and Everton in the race to sign 14-year-old Norwegian wonderkid Isak Hansen-Aaroen.

Manchester United are reportedly leading Liverpool and Everton in the race to sign 14-year-old Norwegian wonderkid Isak Hansen-Aaroen.

Hansen-Aaoren is believed to have had trials with United, Liverpool and Everton as he prepares to move to England.

According to The Sun, all three clubs were interested in the teenager, but United are poised to sign the midfielder when he turns 16.

Indeed, the report claims that United's Head of Academy Recruitment David Harrison recently held talks with Hansen-Aaoren's club Tromso IL, with their sporting director Svein-Morten Johansen confirming the interest.

"We have had very positive discussions with Manchester United. Of course there is a long way to go, but we are working well with Isak's family about an agreement," Johansen told reporters.

"We are positive that this will be good for all parties. In the first instance we are looking at some kind of cooperation agreement, where the goal is to develop the player so that he may end up going over and playing for them.

"Isak has always been a good player, and he is a sensible lad. He is good for his age, and although there is a long way to go he has every reason to succeed."

United will return to Premier League action after the international break with a trip to Chelsea.
