Manchester United and Manchester City have reportedly joined Liverpool in the race for Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella.
The Italian's future at San Siro has been the subject of growing speculation in recent months, with a number of Premier League clubs in the market for midfield reinforcements this summer.
Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Inter will listen to bids of around £70m for the 26-year-old during the next transfer window.
Having been an integral part of the Italy side which won Euro 2020, Barella has been involved in 28 goals during the last season-and-a-half for the Nerazzurri across all competitions.
A report from Football Insider claims that Liverpool are looking to add three new midfielders in preparation for next season, and along with Jude Bellingham, Barella is high on their wishlist.
However, with Liverpool languishing outside the Champions League places currently, failure to finish in the top four this season could seriously dent their chances of attracting the calibre of midfielders they are targeting.
Erik ten Hag is also looking to bolster his options in the centre at Man United, but will face big competition for both Barella and Declan Rice, who Arsenal are supposedly showing interest in.
With Ilkay Gundogan potentially set to depart from Man City, Pep Guardiola will also look to strengthen in that department, and the two Manchester clubs may also tussle over Frenkie de Jong, who is currently discontent at Barcelona.
