Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Manchester United.

Although United are well stocked for options between the sticks, there is uncertainty over the futures of David de Gea, Sergio Romero and Dean Henderson.

While one of those stoppers will be United's number one next season, the remaining two players may be open to leaving Old Trafford.

According to ESPN, that scenario has led to club officials contemplating possible replacements ahead of next season.

Meret, who earned his first Italy cap in November, made a total of 22 starts in Serie A during the most recent campaign.
