Manchester City are reportedly locked in negotiations with Valencia over a potential summer deal for winger Ferran Torres.
The Spaniard registered four goals and five assists for the La Liga outfit during the 2019-20 league campaign, but Torres now has under a year left to run on his current deal with Valencia.
City are believed to be leading the race for the 20-year-old's signature, but Valencia's valuation of Torres has supposedly hindered negotiations between the two clubs.
According to the Daily Mail, the La Liga outfit are holding out for a fee of £40m in spite of Torres's contract expiring at the end of next season.
The report claims that Torres is hopeful of a deal being reached, but Valencia are playing hardball and have also enquired about the possibility of City midfielder Yangel Herrera, who spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Granada, being included as part of a deal.
Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus are also said to be keeping a close eye on developments surrounding the future of Torres.
