Liverpool are reportedly ready to join Manchester United and Real Madrid in the race to sign Porto defender Eder Militao.

Porto defender Eder Militao has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Liverpool.

The 20-year-old has emerged as one of the top young players in Portugal's top flight, with 17 appearances being made for Porto during the current campaign.

The Brazilian's form has led to interest from around Europe, with Manchester United and Real Madrid said to be monitoring the progress of the right-sided defender.

According to The Sun, Liverpool are ready to join the race for Militao and could potentially be prepared to launch an approach in January.

Liverpool have allowed Nathaniel Clyne to join Bournemouth on loan, leaving open a space in Jurgen Klopp's squad for the second half of the season.

Militao is said to have a £42.5m release clause in his contract.
