Liverpool have reportedly identified Porto forward Luis Diaz as their top target for the upcoming January transfer window.
The Reds are thought to be in the market for attacking reinforcements to help deal with the losses of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane to the Africa Cup of Nations.
Liverpool have been tracking Diaz for a number of months, and Portuguese outlet Correio da Manha claims that they could make their move when the window reopens next month.
Jurgen Klopp's side are also understood to be keeping tabs on Lille striker Jonathan David, who would likely be a cheaper option than Diaz.
However, the report claims that Diaz is Liverpool's number one target if they are to bolster their squad in January, although Klopp has already suggested that he will not use the winter window to bring in long-term replacements for Salah or Mane.
Diaz has scored 13 goals in 22 appearances for Porto across all competitions this season, while the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City have also been credited with an interest in his signature.
The 24-year-old faced Liverpool twice in the Champions League this term, although he failed to find the back of the net in either of those games.
