Liverpool are reportedly set to rival a number of Premier League clubs including Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

Liverpool are reportedly set to rival a number of Premier League clubs including Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The 28-year-old has spent the last four-and-a-half seasons with the Serie A giants, scoring 21 goals and providing 15 assists in 199 appearances across all competitions.

Rabiot has been a first-team regular for Massimiliano Allegri's side so far this season, starting 21 of the club's 25 top-flight matches.

However, the France international is facing an uncertain future in Turin as he is due to see his Juve contract expire at the end of the season.

Rabiot will be available on a free transfer this summer and a number of top European clubs are believed to be monitoring his situation.

A recent report claims that Arsenal have held 'initial talks' with the midfielder's agents in the hope of luring him to the Emirates Stadium.

Tottenham, Manchester United and Newcastle United have also been credited with an interest in Rabiot, but Corriere Dello Sport, via TEAMtalk claims that Liverpool are the latest club to join the race for his signature.

The report adds that each of Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs would be prepared to offer Rabiot a salary higher than the current €7m per season (£115,000 per week) that he currently pockets at Juventus.

He is yet to make a final decision on his future, but it is understood that the Frenchman would be open to holding talks with English clubs ahead of next season.

Rabiot, who began his career with Paris Saint-Germain before joining Juve in 2019, admitted last year that he has always had aspirations of playing in the Premier League.

Speaking to The Athletic, the midfielder said: "I have always said that I'd like to play in England in my career. I still have that desire. I'd like to evolve in the Premier League.

"I haven't got a Premier League team in mind right now. I haven't chosen a team or anything. It's a general thing. It's the league, it's the level of play that's going on, that's what attracts me most. It corresponds to my qualities."

Rabiot is one of three Juventus players who is set to see his contract expire in June along with defensive duo Alex Sandro and Daniele Rugani.
