Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard could reportedly end up staying at Old Trafford amid a transfer tussle with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Despite falling down the pecking order this season, the Red Devils recently triggered a one-year extension in Lingard's contract - keeping him on the books until 2022.
However, the 28-year-old has not played a single minute of Premier League football this term and has been restricted to three appearances in the EFL Cup and FA Cup.
Following reports that Ligue 1 strugglers Nice have cooled their interest in the Englishman, ESPN reports that Solskjaer is keen to keep him around for the remainder of the season.
The report claims that Lingard is desperate to seek pastures new in search of regular game time ahead of the Euros, but Solskjaer is not prepared to lose the attacker amid a hectic fixture schedule.
Sheffield United have also been credited with an interest in Lingard, who boasts 33 goals and 20 assists in 210 appearances for the Red Devils.
