Angel Gomes has dropped a hint over his summer plans by changing his agent, with the in-demand Lille attacker now being represented by ROOF.

The 24-year-old had previously been represented by Gol International, but ROOF have taken to Instagram to reveal that the England international has been welcomed on board ahead of the summer market.

Gomes' contract with Lille is due to expire at the end of the campaign, and he is expected to seek pastures new.

Manchester United are believed to be keen to bring him back to Old Trafford, while Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with the playmaker, who could return to the Premier League.

Back in October, Gomes told The Times: "There'll always be that sentimental soft spot, so of course it'd be difficult to say no. As amazing as that would be, after finding happiness abroad I know [playing in the Premier League] is not the be-all and end-all."

Gomes changes his agent ahead of potential departure

Gomes recently claimed that he is "aware" of the interest in his services, but the Englishman is only focusing on the remainder of the campaign, with a decision on his future not yet being made.

"I'm aware of clubs enquiring about my situation, but I'm now completely focused on Lille," Gomes said. "I want to finish the season in the best way possible, and then we will see what happens. I'm focused on the present and not on negotiations."

The attacker came through the youth system at Man United and went on to represent their first team on 10 occasions before leaving in 2020, initially spending time on loan at Boavista from Lille.

Gomes has made 133 appearances for Lille in all competitions, scoring 10 times and registering 19 assists in the process, including a record of four goals and 16 assists in 104 Ligue 1 outings.

Which club are the favourites for Gomes?

Man United are believed to be seriously interested in re-signing Gomes, and he would certainly be an interesting option for the Red Devils next season, potentially as one of the number 10s in a 3-4-3 formation.

The 20-time English champions may not be able to offer European football for next season, though, which will surely play a part in Gomes' decision, with Arsenal therefore potentially the favourites.

Gomes was born in London, so a switch to the capital would surely appeal, and he would be joining an Arsenal side that are currently in the mix for major silverware, but the same simply cannot be said about the team that he left behind five years ago.
