Leicester City have reportedly emerged as favourites to complete the signing of West Bromwich Albion defender Jonny Evans.
Since the start of 2018, it has been well documented that Evans's contract possesses a relegation release clause of £3m, which is likely to be activated before the end of the season.
A number of Premier League clubs have been linked with the Northern Ireland international, including Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and West Ham United.
However, according to The Sun, Leicester are now considered to be the frontrunners to seal a deal for the experienced centre-back before the start of the next campaign.
The Foxes are likely to reshape their squad during the summer, and bringing in a long-term partner for Harry Maguire is expected to be on the club's list of priorities.
