Manchester United are reportedly prepared to hand Harry Kane a £300,000-a-week salary in order to make the move to Old Trafford during this summer's transfer window.
The England captain is believed to be the club's leading transfer target for the summer market amid suggestions that he is unlikely to sign a new contract at Tottenham Hotspur.
The 29-year-old has again been in strong form for Spurs during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring 26 goals and registering four assists in 43 appearances in all competitions.
However, the North London club are facing an uphill battle to qualify for next season's Champions League, and Kane only has a contract with his current side until the summer of 2024.
According to The Sun, Man United are determined to sign Tottenham and England's all-time leading goalscorer this summer and are prepared to hand him a deal worth £300,000 a week, which would be a huge rise on his current £200,000-a-week salary at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The report claims that David de Gea is preparing to drop his salary from £375,000 a week to £200,000 a week, which will see Man United make huge savings on their wage bill.
Meanwhile, Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe are both expected to leave on free transfers this summer, and the likes of Eric Bailly, Alex Telles and Brandon Williams could also move on.
Kane has scored 24 Premier League goals this season, but Tottenham are currently sixth in the table, six points behind fourth-placed Man United, who have two games in hand.
Erik ten Hag's side will travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday evening looking to move nine points ahead of Spurs, who now have Ryan Mason in charge on an interim basis.

Man United are also said to be preparing a £300,000-a-week contract for Rashford, who only has a deal at Old Trafford until the summer of 2024.
The 25-year-old has been in excellent form for the Red Devils during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring 28 goals and registering 10 assists in 49 appearances in all competitions.
Paris Saint-Germain continue to be linked with the Englishman, who has 15 goals and four assists in 29 Premier League appearances this term, but the forward is widely expected to sign a new deal at Old Trafford.
Rashford and Kane could therefore feature alongside each other in the Man United attack next term, with Antony also set to be an important player for Ten Hag's side in 2023-24.
However, Wout Weghorst is widely expected to head back to Burnley when his loan spell expires, while Anthony Martial, who has struggled with fitness problems this season, could be sold in the upcoming market.
