Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright believes that Harry Kane should stay at Tottenham Hotspur for one more year amid speculation regarding his future.

The 26-year-old, who is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, has been persistently linked with an exit from Jose Mourinho's side due to a lack of silverware.

Manchester United have been credited with an interest in the striker, although Wright has claimed that the England captain should give Spurs another year before making any decisions on his future.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, Wright said: "Now they have a manager [in Jose Mourinho] who is a notorious winner of trophies.

"Kane did say 'next year will be the first chance the gaffer will have to bed his values into the team'. That says to me he is somebody who is already thinking of next year, so he's not going anywhere.

"I'd give this manager a chance with his pre-season, do next season and see where it goes. Because from when he made his debut up to now, I think he has given them everything he can."

Kane has netted 181 times in 278 appearances for Tottenham.
