Hansi Flick talks up Erling Braut Haaland to Bayern Munich move

Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick affirms that a deal to bring Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Braut Haaland to Bavaria is "very much possible".

Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick has talked up the prospect of Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland moving to the Allianz Arena.

The former Red Bull Salzburg protege continues to go from strength to strength in yellow and netted twice inside the first 10 minutes of Saturday's Der Klassiker, although Dortmund eventually lost 4-2.

Bayern, along with Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United, are all believed to be in the race for Haaland's signature, and Flick has set tongues wagging by claiming that a deal for the Norwegian forward could very well happen.

Speaking to Sky Deutschland before Saturday's derby victory, the Bayern manager said: "Very, very much is possible in life, nothing can be ruled out. But that is a long way off. He has a long-term contract in Dortmund and is an option for many top clubs."

Haaland's brace in Der Klassiker took him up to 19 goals for the Bundesliga season and 29 for the campaign in all competitions, although it was his opposite number Robert Lewandowski whose hat-trick proved decisive on the night.

The Dortmund forward is understood to possess a £68m release clause which activates next summer, but a nine-figure sum could supposedly be enough to see him move elsewhere this year if Edin Terzic's side fail to qualify for the Champions League.
