Ferran Torres plays down Manchester United, Liverpool reports

Valencia attacker Ferran Torres pours cold water on suggestions that he could move to the Premier League this summer.

Valencia attacker Ferran Torres has poured cold water on suggestions that he could move to the Premier League this summer by insisting that "La Liga is the best league there is".

The 20-year-old has been in strong form for Los Che during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring six goals and registering seven assists in 35 appearances in all competitions.

Torres's contract at the Mestalla is due to expire next summer, though, and a number of clubs, including Liverpool and Manchester United, have been linked with his services.

The Spaniard, though, has brushed off rumours that he could leave Spain's top flight in the near future.

"For young people, La Liga is the best league there is," Torres told Club del Deportista. "It is helping me a lot and I am learning all the time.

"I think I have settled in Valencia and in the division. Things are going well for me even though the team is on a bad streak, although we think we are going to turn it around."

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund are also believed to be monitoring his development.
