Marouane Fellaini 'to turn down January exit from Old Trafford'

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is reportedly determined to win back his place in the starting lineup and will reject any approaches in January.

Marouane Fellaini is not ready to leave Manchester United and will instead continue to fight for his place in the starting lineup, according to a report.

The Belgium international has failed to win over supporters since making a £27.5m move from Everton in 2013 and was said to be close to the Old Trafford exit after recently being booed.

Fellaini, linked with AC Milan and Inter Milan after being spotted in the Italian city earlier this week, was a regular in the early stages of the campaign under Jose Mourinho but has been used more sparingly since.

ESPN reports that the 29-year-old is still in Mourinho's plans, however, and he will therefore turn down any approaches - both short and longer term - made for his services in next month's transfer window.

Fellaini, contracted to the Red Devils until the end of the 2017-18 campaign, has featured 17 times in 27 games so far for United this term.
