Cesc Fabregas: United interest was "flattering"

Cesc Fabregas is pleased to have been wanted by Manchester United, but says that he is more than happy at Barcelona.

Barcelona and former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has admitted that he was flattered to be the subject of interest from Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

Fabregas said, however, that he was enjoying his time playing for the first team of his boyhood club and has no intention of leaving for the time being.

"It's always flattering when a club like Manchester United talks very well about you and you can see they want you," Fabregas told BBC Sport.

"But I'm going through an amazing moment at Barcelona now. I'm playing every week and I feel very important to the team. I'm very happy right now."

Fabregas rejoined Barca from Arsenal in 2011.
