Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Feyenoord midfielder Antoni Milambo during next summer's transfer window.

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Feyenoord midfielder Antoni Milambo, with the Red Devils 'closely monitoring' his development.

The 19-year-old has been in strong form for his Dutch club during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring six goals in 16 appearances in all competitions, including three in four Champions League fixtures.

Milambo came through the youth system at Feyenoord, progressing to first-team level in 2021, and he has represented his current side on 34 occasions, scoring seven goals and registering one assist in the process.

According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Man United are huge admirers of the teenager, with the Red Devils 'discussing him internally multiple times' due to the fact that he 'fits into the profile' of the players that the club now want to sign.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, in his role as a minority shareholder, is moving the club in a new direction in the transfer market, with young players set to be targeted rather than established stars, with that transfer policy failing in recent years.

Man United 'interested in Feyenoord youngster Milambo'

Man United are said to have 'gathered information' on Milambo, and it is possible that the 20-time English champions could make an attempt to sign him during next summer's transfer window.

The two-time Netherlands international signed a contract extension with Feyenoord in January, and his current terms are due to run until the end of the 2026-27 campaign.

Feyenoord are therefore in a relatively strong position when it comes to his future, but the Eredivisie outfit will find it difficult to prevent him from leaving, as the volume of interest in his services is said to be growing with each passing week.

Milambo has shown his versatility by performing a number of midfield roles this season, but the majority of his football has come as an attacking midfielder, and he could be used in that area by new Man United head coach Ruben Amorim.

Is a January deal possible?

Man United are expected to be active in January despite financial constraints, but it is difficult to imagine Milambo being allowed to leave Feyenoord in the middle of the campaign.

Next summer is much more likely, and it would be fascinating to see whether Milambo is viewed as a player to operate in one of the number 10 positions in Amorim's 3-4-3 system, or as one of the central two.

Man United are attempting to build a team capable of challenging for the biggest prizes once again, and Milambo could play a big part in that, with the Dutchman one of the most exciting young talents in European football.
