Norwich boss Chris Hughton has ruled out a potential move for Michael Owen.
Owen is currently a free agent having been released by Manchester United over the summer.
Huhgton was quick to deny the move when questioned by the Eastern Daily Press, saying: "Wow. Not that I am aware of.
"It is no surprise because at this stage of the window you get linked with lots of names that are not true. That is very much a new one to me.
"It is an area we are looking at to do something but that would have to be the right player."
The former England striker has also been linked with a move to Stoke.
