Chelsea are still reportedly interested in West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice and could compete with Manchester United for his signature this summer.
The 22-year-old has again been in impressive form for the Hammers during the 2021-22 campaign, contributing three goals and four assists in 24 appearances in all competitions.
A recent report claimed that Man United are determined to sign the England international during this summer's transfer window, with the Red Devils identifying him as a leading target.
However, according to Goal, there is still genuine interest from Chelsea, who released Rice from their academy at the age of 14, having spent seven years at Stamford Bridge.
The report claims that the Blues will decide between moving for the West Ham midfielder or Monaco's Aurelien Tchouameni ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
Rice still has two-and-a-half years left to run on his contract at the London Stadium, while David Moyes's side have the option of activating a 12-month extension on the agreement.
The Englishman has scored eight times and registered nine assists in 169 appearances for the Hammers since making his first-team debut in 2015.
