Borussia Dortmund head of first-team football Sebastian Kehl says that there is no release clause in Jude Bellingham's deal.

Borussia Dortmund head of first-team football Sebastian Kehl has revealed that there is no release clause in the contract of Jude Bellingham.

The 18-year-old has excelled for BVB since arriving from Birmingham City in July 2020, and a number of clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool, are said to be keen to bring the midfielder back to England.

There had been suggestions that a buy-out clause existed in the midfielder's contract, potentially making Dortmund vulnerable to approaches from major European clubs.

However, Kehl has insisted that there is no release figure, and the Bundesliga giants are determined to keep hold of the England international on a long-term basis.

"He is a Borussia Dortmund player and remains a Borussia Dortmund player. There is no exit clause," Kehl told Sport1. "It's good that we talk about our players. It shows that we are doing something right. We can offer a lot at Borussia Dortmund. We want to win titles, but we have to keep the guys for that."

Bellingham has scored seven times in 61 appearances for Dortmund in all competitions, while he has already been capped on eight occasions by the English senior team.
