Celtic have reportedly identified Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay as a potential signing, but are currently unable to move for the Scotland international.
United caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has suggested that McTominay will remain at Old Trafford, despite claims that the 22-year-old will be allowed to pen a loan deal with another club.
Celtic have been credited with an interest in the player, but according to the Daily Record, the Scottish giants must play a waiting game.
The report claims that Brendan Rodgers needs to part ways with midfielders before he can add a fresh face to his squad during the January window.
Eboue Kouassi and Nir Bitton have been suggested as possible departures, with the pair having barely featured during the first half of the season.
