Real Betis sporting director Manu Fajardo indicates that the La Liga outfit will go all out to sign Manchester United loanee Antony.

Real Betis will seemingly do "everything possible" to successfully negotiate a summer deal for Manchester United loanee Antony.

After failing to make an impact during the opening months of Ruben Amorim's reign, Antony was allowed to link up with Real Betis during the winter transfer window.

Instead of merely gaining regular game time for the Spanish outfit, the Brazil international has rediscovered the form that encouraged United to pay £85m for his signature in 2022.

A total of four goals and four assists have come from 13 appearances in all competitions, Antony playing a key role in Betis having recently accumulated 19 points from a possible 21 in La Liga.

As a result, Betis now sit in sixth position in the standings, leaving the relevant parties with decisions to ponder ahead of the next transfer period.

Betis chief comments on Antony

Comments from both Antony's camp and Betis have all indicated that an extended stay at Estadio Benito Villamarin is an increasingly possibility.

Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, Fajardo has admitted that he and the club are eager to facilitate the acquisition of the 25-year-old.

Fajardo said: "It's a source of satisfaction on a personal level, but it's the result of teamwork.

"Although I'm responsible for the sporting direction, there are many people involved in this signing.

"It's still early days, but we'll try in different ways to do everything possible to continue enjoying Antony."

Is a deal plausible?

Unless integrated back into Amorim's squad, United are highly likely to pursue the sale of Antony, whose contract at Old Trafford runs until 2027, in order to boost their position with the relevant financial regulations.

There will be an acceptance at United they have no chance of recouping anywhere close to the money that they shelled out in 2022.

Interested clubs will also be aware of United's desperation to part ways with the big-earning attacker and it is likely that all parties will have to be prepared to compromise on their expectations.

Betis qualifying for next season's Champions League or winning the Conference League would significantly improve their chances of being able to afford the player.
