Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has suggested that he is confident that Joshua Kimmich will remain at the Allianz Arena.
The 30-year-old is currently one of Bayern's longest-serving players having made 424 appearances since the start of the 2015-16 campaign.
However, the versatile Germany international is also one of the most attractive options in the transfer market courtesy of his contract being due to expire at the end of the season.
An array of clubs are monitoring the situation, including the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United who could benefit from a player of Kimmich's attributes.
Nevertheless, it appears that the Premier League giants and fellow European giants are outsiders to tempt Kimmich into a departure.

"Cautiously optimistic"
Last week, Bayern announced that they had agreed a new long-term contract with Jamal Musiala, another development that came as a blow to sides in England.
With Alphonso Davies having also turned down the chance to leave Bayern anytime soon with his own renewal, Hainer has talked up the club's ambition potentially being enough to convince Kimmich to stay put.
Speaking to BR 24, Hainer said: "I'm cautiously optimistic about Kimmich signing a new deal with us.
"In the end, he has to decide, but I think he knows what everyone has in FC Bayern. We are showing our ambition and project."
Hainer has also stated to the same outlet in the past that Kimmich "wants to have a team that can compete for titles."

Kompany impact crucial?
Having witnessed Bayer Leverkusen win the Bundesliga last season, Kimmich may have had doubts over whether Bayern's stranglehold of the Bundesliga would end in the long term.
Instead, Vincent Kompany has delivered 55 points and 65 goals from his opening 22 Bundesliga games in charge, Bayern sitting eight points clear of Leverkusen in first place.
Kimmich has started all 22 games, as he has in nine Champions League fixtures, and that has seemingly put Bayern in prime position to extend the contract of the club legend.
