Barcelona are reportedly set to rival Liverpool for the signature of Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.
The England international has progressed through the youth ranks at Chelsea, where he has gone on to make 190 appearances for the first team, scoring 33 goals and providing 37 assists.
Mount has entered the final 18 months of his deal, and he reportedly rejected the club's latest contract offer.
The 24-year-old is reluctant to put pen to paper on a new deal unless he is offered a contract which would put him in line with some of the club's highest earners.
Mount, who reportedly earns £80,000 a week, is looking to treble his wages, but the two parties are still believed to be some way apart in negotiations.

If the attacker is unable to agree a new deal, Chelsea may consider a potential sale in the summer rather than risk losing him on a free transfer in 2024.
According to the Daily Mail, Mount's contract situation has alerted Liverpool, who are pushing hard to sign the Chelsea man.
Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are all out of contract in the summer, and as a result, the Reds are keen to strengthen their midfield.
While the Merseyside club have been linked with the the likes of Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham and Wolverhampton Wanderers' Matheus Nunes, they are said to have a long-standing interest in Mount.
However, Calcio Mercato reports that Liverpool could face competition from Barcelona, who are set to join the race for Mount's signature.

Barcelona are currently eight points clear at the top of the La Liga table, and with their place in the top four effectively assured, they would be able to guarantee Mount Champions League football.
The report also claims that AC Milan, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Manchester United are all considering a move for the Chelsea academy graduate.
Chelsea could also include Mount in any proposal to make Joao Felix's loan move from Atletico Madrid a permanent one in the summer.
Speaking ahead of Saturday's league meeting with Southampton, Chelsea boss Graham Potter stated that he is hopeful Mount's future is "resolved quickly".
Mount has scored three goals and registered six assists in 30 appearances across all competitions this season.
