Barcelona are reportedly looking to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba on a free transfer next summer.
The 28-year-old, who has also been linked with Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, has less than 12 months remaining on his contract at Old Trafford and both parties are struggling to come to an agreement over an extension.
According to Spanish news outlet Fichajes.net, Pogba's agent Mino Raiola and Barcelona president Joan Laporta have held talks over the last few days to discuss the midfielder's current situation.
Pogba's preferred destination was believed to have been Real Madrid, however since the departure of Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu, the Frenchman will now consider other options on the table.
Los Blancos will still push to sign Pogba on a free transfer next summer, and they will also do the same for PSG forward Kylian Mbappe, though Barcelona believe they have a strong chance of luring the Man United midfielder to Camp Nou, as they can offer him a starring role as one of the club's key players.
United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would like to keep hold of Pogba and the Red Devils are not giving up hope of agreeing a new contract with the player before the end of this year.
Pogba has made a bright start to the new campaign, providing seven assists in just four Premier League matches, more than any other player so far this term.
