Arsenal reportedly identify Sevilla striker Youssef-En Nesyri as a January target amid uncertainty surrounding the futures of their current forwards.

Arsenal have reportedly identified Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri as an ideal target for the January window.

The Gunners are likely to lose Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah in the summer of 2022, with both men set to enter the final six months of their deals.

Furthermore, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been dropped from the side following a string of disciplinary breaches, while Folarin Balogun's long-term future is also unclear.

Mikel Arteta has therefore been tipped to bolster his attacking options over the winter, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Dusan Vlahovic both linked with moves to the Emirates.

Now, ESPN claims that Sevilla's main man En-Nesyri is also a target, although the 24-year-old is not out of contract with the La Liga side until 2025.

The Gunners could face stiff competition for En-Nesyri's signature, though, as Manchester United and Manchester City are also thought to be in the hunt for his services.

The Morocco international has scored 33 goals in 88 games for Sevilla but has endured an injury-plagued 2021-22 season, finding the back of the net just three times in eight La Liga appearances.
